I keep coming to this when I consider ignoring the cultural holidays. If I were to ignore the cultural holidays around me and not advocate for their "Christianization" I feel as though I'd be surrendering that day to the Devil. Not to mention an opportunity to partake in some ancient traditions of my ancestors. Every day belongs to the Lord. And so, if some pagans got all excited over the celebration of the solstice on December 25th, I see no reason not to say, "Hey, wait. That honor belongs to the Sun of Righteousness, who has healing in His wings. Not some pathetic sun god."
