Re: Pre trib rapture teaching is heresy
Most end time teaching is rather lean when it comes to what is happening in its wider scope. It is almost always cast in the light of how horrific it will be for the saints living at that time. Well I understand and embrace the truth of that.
Yet there is another side of the story. During this time it will be all out war between the army of God and the armies of the devil. If we look at what happens when the 7 trumpets are blowing we can see all throughout that the great and glorious Jesus Christ is at work killing multitudes of sinners!
One third of all men are killed just when the 6th angel sounds. That would be BILLIONS OF SINNERS killed by our God and Savior at one shot of his judgment!
Not to even mention the sinners that will be killed through the prophetic ministry of the two witnesses.
It will be all out war with God probably killing more of the wicked than what the man of sin kills of us.
The idea that God cannot inflict tribulation and wrath on the wicked until Christians are removed from the Earth is very deceptive.
Noah's world was destroyed without him ever leaving it. That is the best and only example we have of what happens when the world as we know it is being destroyed.
When Paul says he delivers us from the wrath to come he is thinking of the wrath of Hell fire. That will be far more fearsome wrath than the plagues during the trib.
Obviously wrath comes in degree. The wrath one experiences on Earth will truly be wrath. But it will not be the degree of being cast into the fires of Gehenna.
