Re: For God so loved the world
John 8:24
John 8:27
It is also stated, that when Jesus said “except you believe that I am he, you shall die in your sins”, that the He in vs 24 is referring to the father( Father being the nearest antecedent to the pronoun, He) based off of vs . 27, and context...
Is that true in your opinion?
(Using this passage in such a way that would mean, if you don’t believe that Jesus is the father, he will die in your sins....)

Back up a little.....
16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

No scripture for that term used.

Re: For God so loved the world
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Or....
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten SELF, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Which one?

Brother,
Verse 27 isn’t point back to verse 24. It refers to “he” and “him” in verse 27.

Not sure I follow you, and i probably worded it all wrong.
But let me ask you like this, is or is not the “HE” of the “I AM HE” in verse 24, referring to the FATHER of vs. 27, thereby making Jesus himself our Father, and if we do not believe exactly that(Jesus is the Father), we will die in our sins?

Re: For God so loved the world
Just a few sentences prior...
16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
2, not 1.
