Judge Closes Ocoee Church In Former Barn
By Compiled from staff reports, March 11, 1988
An Orange circuit judge Thursday ordered the Christian Life Assembly Church in Ocoee to clear out of a former horse barn until the structure meets city codes. The Rev. Sterling Pylant said he and his Pentecostal congregation of about 70 people have been holding services three times a week for 16 months in a building without running water or electricity. Ocoee filed for a temporary injunction because the building at the end of Starr Road is a possible health hazard, city attorney Elaine Fishman said in a hearing last Friday.

The important thing is . . .

Did you confess . . .

To the priest?

Aren't good Catholics supposed to do that?

No, to the statue of Mary.

A good Catholic learns to pray "hail Mary, mother of God".

I was supposed to see the priest for robbing Mary, but he would have busted my britches for robbing her, so my theft remained for the time being.

You were a sinner under the law. That's a sin offering for you!

Exodus 29:36

[36] And thou shalt offer every day a bullock for a sin offering for atonement: and thou shalt cleanse the altar, when thou hast made an atonement for it, and thou shalt anoint it, to sanctify it.

Gotcha!

Well we beat him to it when we would go do our penances.... Lol

We would go to the store and buy candy and "odd Rods".

We robbed God for years until we left San Jose.

We were robbers of churches as described in Acts...lol

did you have a bad feeling about it?

Kinda. It was because I broke the Law of Moses. My conscience bare witness to me about it.

I just have a feeling that this money was going to Mary, mother of God, about like the tithes we give to God, actually go to God.
