I can't go back and edit the first post, so I wanted to say this here about that thread. It is not just for "preaching sermons". It applies to simple witnessing as well. By looking at biblical examples of apostolic preaching and studying them, one will discover effective Biblical strategies for witnessing in one on one conversations as well as "sermonising".
It also certainly does not apply to standing up in a pulpit in an institutional church setting only. It applies to everything from personal witnessing one on one, to one's own personal private study of Scripture, to sharing a testimony in a meeting of any kind, to preaching or teaching in a house church setting, to sharing in a Bible study, to preaching a general conference, or addressing the UN.

Why? Because it's all about "sharing the Word" in whatever situation one find oneself, and the subject of "homiletics" covers all those situations.
Just wanted to say that in case folks thought the thread was being limited to pulpit exercises.
