Re: Modern pentecostal church music and Oneness

Most (not all) worship songs written today are more like chants, words repeated over and over that are mostly meaningless.

I'm not against all new music that is written. I love the old hymns, I love new songs that are written too, but not the "Jesus is my boyfriend" style either, that makes me gag.

I'd rather have no music than sing to songs that are bee-bop, chants, and "Jesus is my boyfriend" stuff.

Have the congregation sing acapella and see how beautiful that can be. Have an old sister or brother sing Amazing Grace or their favorite hymn.

Worship is beautiful in many forms, but when it becomes motion and movement without heartfelt worship, it is meaningless.
