Many Hispanic and black men feel that wearing a mustache is symbolic of masculinity. So automatically the cultural thing is throw down like an non-debatable subject. Of course that debate ignores the church’s culture.

The church culture?
Should we really get into that? Do you mean the church where I was the only minority attending and was looked upon with suspicion because of my culture.
Do you mean the church culture that I was supposed to adopt if I wanted to be saved. Where my clothing and food were unknown and I was encouraged to discard so I could fit into that culture.
and even though they did not said it out-loud, it was hinted that my culture was somehow wrong or inferior. Is that the church culture you are talking about?
