Good one. Caught me off guard.
But if there is a more perfect way, I am
responsible to be obedient to the word of
the Lord.

Re: Gino Jennings saying baptism in Jesus name is
In West Virginia there was house churches who baptized in Jesus, Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus, and Lord Jesus Christ. Myself is a Lord Jesus Christ baptizer. Had Elder Reckart tell me at a Perkins that Lord = the Father, Jesus = Son, and Christ = Spirit of Christ, then he told me that it was a Trinitarian baptism. He went on to explain how it was introduced by the early Assembly of God back in their beginnings. I don't know whether that is right or wrong history, never really searched it out. Jesus is referred to as the Lord Jesus Christ and my people always baptized in the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore I never really paid no mine to what Brother Reckart said.

The first documented teaching of baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ among the early Pentecostals was at an Assembly Of God campmeeting by R.E Mcalister IN 1913. He taught that LORD JESUS CHRIST was the counterpart of FATHER SON AND HOLY GHOST.
This led to the revelation of Oneness and split the Assemblies Of God.

I guess that is what Brother Reckart was referring to?
I also met an individual who said that he re-baptizes anyone who was baptized in a UPCI church. Needless to say we didn't hit it off,

Re: Gino Jennings saying baptism in Jesus name is
I've heard baptism "in the name of Jesus Christ" and "in the name of Jesus". Throughout the Book of Acts, they say in the name of Jesus Christ, the name of the Lord, and of the Lord Jesus. So I don't think, personally, there would be anything wrong with any of those.
