Instead of bashing the UPCI why not pray for your local church and the leadership? Stop hating and start loving!!!

Re: I Love The UPCI

The UPCI is a only a tool for organizing conferences, retreats, education, missions, ect. What ultimately matters is your local church family. It is there that experiences will vary.

My church leadership has a lot of wisdom. We are strong on biblical doctrine.
The weekly services focused on preaching the gospel, i.e., people being saved and living an overcoming life. The first priority is that people obey the gospel.
When they are desiring to learn more, they have the option of taking membership classes and learning more.

Guess what? Most people haven't had these horrific problems. Furthermore if we were the fly on the wall in some of these horrific stories. We would find out that the one telling the story is the real criminal.

All religions and ideologies. Guess what people are people, and it's all a journey about life. What blows me away is that these supposedly disgruntles come around to post and moan. If you have left something, leave be free, go and do what you want. Why sit around weeping wailing and gnashing of teeth. Complaining about past experiences in a religion that wasn't your cup of tea. Old Tyme Pentecostal blah, blah, blah? Move on already, people posting on a forum and disparaging those who are still Old Tyme Pentecostal. Then getting upset if we don't agree and give you a foot massage. Whatever.

The UPCI will still march on, and the snivelers will continue to snivel

What is there to love about an organization founded on racist and misogynist principles?

In what area of the country are you? My experience has been opposite that in many places, but where the bulk of people already have that in their heads it may turn up.
Dont get me wrong, I had one or two not nice stories.
But there are sour grapes in every bunch. I just dont like to see them affect the whole.

My mom and dad were married in a founding church by bro. Witherspoon.....there were more POC folk at her funeral than white folk.
