How would Christian Reconstructionism apply the laws governing the Year of Jubilee? (
Leviticus 25:23-55)?
According to the Law, the Year of Jubilee was to include:
- Release from all indebtedness.
- All prisoners and captives were to be set free.
- All slaves were released.
- All debts were canceled.
- All durable property and land was returned to the family line of the original owners.
- All labor was to cease for one year.
- Those bound by labor contracts were released from them.
Would Reconstructionism reinstitute the Jubilee?
If so, how would this work socially?
