No one dies and instantly finds themselves in Heaven. Thats the purpose of the coming of Jesus and the resurrection.

I guess God will fulfill that wish. Since you would be so disappointed if you ended up there instantly after you died.

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

What happens if the Lord already came? We which are alive and remain shall be caught up when we die.

The reading of the verse gives us to understand that when the Lord comes THAT is the time both the dead are raised and those who are alive and remain will be caught up.

15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Church will be with the Lord when? WHEN HE COMES.

Not before or after he comes.

The alive and remain is opposite of the preceding party who were the sleeping dead. You really don't read in context.

One group had to awake, the other group was waiting for the change from death to life. No one after that occurrence would ever go to the grave again to sleep. The waiting period was over. Their question was based on that not all would sleep, yet, those who were sleeping wouldn't be passed up by those who were alive. No one would stay sleeping in the grave. But they would awake and be in a moment in the speed of an eye blink, to be snatched into the surrounding air. Others who were still alive would remain until their appointed time, and therefore be forever with the Lord. No sleep for them.

Re: Daniel's 70th week

Paul said he was on trial for his hope in the resurrection of the dead, of BOTH the just and the unjust. Acts 24:15

Question:When did the resurrection of the UNJUST occur?
