Exactly what Ezra and Nehemiah said. Lineages were everything in ancient societies. If a child was born, if someone died, or if they committed an offense against the tribe. Names were either entered or blotted out. The Bible shows us who is who. Ezra and Nehemiah didn’t accept untraceable people.

Re: why evangelics love Israel
Think about this, if genealogical lineage is no longer needed then anyone can say they are a Biblical Jew just through Rabbinical conversion. No way that would be accepted by the Israelites and Judeans of the Bible.

Re: why evangelics love Israel
A very important thing to note is that all Israelite and Judean genealogies ran back to Abraham. Abraham had an important blessing. Now after Christ, should we believe that through circumcision conversion to become a Jew we can have that blessing? Think about it.

The influence of judaizers is still with us. Recently a sister from my church asked me if I wanted to go with her to see Rabbi Jonathan Chan to hear a prophetic word, I said no thank you. Did not know what else to say. Some people are obsessed with all things Jewish.

No thank you, is really all you can say.

EB - thanks for the explanation. Your explanation makes sense to me.
I thought we were headed another way, which is where previous discussions I have had on this topic have gone.

Re: why evangelics love Israel
The problem is that Israel does exist today. For hundreds of years Bible teachers taught prophecy from the view that there was no Israel. Everything scripture said about Israel was applied to the Church.
But in 1948 guess what? Israel came back into light. Jews came back from all over the world. One might say God never did that it was just the United Nations.
That would be like saying God never restored Judah back to the land after their Babylonian exile. Like saying it was only a Persian king that did it.
Many dont realize the sovereign hand of God moving behind the scenes.
They just see part of the picture rather than the whole counsel of God.

Yes. But it's not that antichrist country over in Palestine (home of the worlds biggest sodomite pride festival, world human trafficking capitol, where it's a religious duty to burn Christian church buildings).
We're sorry, but you've got the wrong Israel.
A bunch of terrorists bombed and murdered their way into fulfilling the British directed "Mandate" whereby antichrists set up a faux Israeli state, sucking the UK and the US into endless war for Tel Aviv, still going on.

Stabbed the Germans in the back, in WW1 and helped communists try to take Germany over in the after-math. They've been hated wherever they go. I have not had any bad encounters with them and don't even think about them. But they sure have angered allot of people down through the ages.
