You are out of line and owe me an apology Newman.
You are a perfect example of the feminist that I was referring to.
Get over yourself!

WOW!!!! You weren't even under discussion! This isn't the first post I have written about Bro. Epley and integrity.
Many point out the hypocrissy of those that sign the affirmation standards and don't hold to them; others note the ways in which some preach one into Hell for wearing a wedding ring but they have a rolex watch on. Epley does neither.
There was talk today on the ministering thread about peer pressure so I mentioned unity. I did not have any particular person in mind because outside of Bro. Epley; I am not sure I know anyone that I could say was not susceptible to it. Which isn't to say that everyone is awful or that I know about all that post here. I don't. I only meant to sing the praise of a man who stands straight for what he honestly and sincerely believes the Word of God says.
The post was intended to show why I believe Epley gets away with what would be horrendous statements if spoken by anyone else; nothing more.
Another thought comes to mind that more perfectly illustrates why I hold Elder Epley in such esteem. A fairly recent post of Elder Epley's was about a minister who died because he won't seek medical attention for a boil? since he had preached against medicine his whole life. Elder Epley did not agree with his position but did agree that it was only right that the minister should live by what he taught. I RESPECT THAT.
2. Epley cares for people despite his gruff persona that us old posters know better than to believe. He occasionally pms those who are facing difficulty whatever their stripe. I know for a fact that he contacted a young man who was headed in the wrong direction and tried to intercede. The post bore NO reference to YOU at all. You weren't on my mind other than the fact that I was addressing your posts which have always been interesting.
3. You have brought up feminist on this forum many times. I just couldn't imagine who you were talking about since I know of none on here. However, Rhoni is single and speaks of the hurt sometimes and Cup Cake says whatever is on her mind no matter what.
Now, you say that it is me! But that surprises me given that I have been married for almost 30 years and have two children. I belive there is no greater success in life than raising a family to serve God. I still make phone calls for my husband's business during his busy time of year.
I only recently began to work full time when my son went to college and before then (as now) I do much of my work from home so that my family's needs are provided for. I even spent two wonderful years involved with Bible Quizzing when my son was on the team despite lots of other demands on my life that you know nothing of.
Finally, I do not preach. So who could or would fairly classify me as a man-hating feminist?
Pastor Poster- This is almost comical. But if you want an apoligy. Forgive me for being so careless in what I write that you could read insult into it. It certainly was not intended.
And as a practical matter; if I want to insult somebody, I usually am more direct.
