"Begone, rebellious troublemaker!"
Men have had beards since God created mankind. Jesus had a beard. The Oneness movement church founders had beards. The Apostolic beard prohibition was a mistake; all you face-scraping advocates just need to swallow your pride and admit your pink cheeks are the abnormality, not my bearded face. Some well-meaning old dudes in the 1960s goofed, oops, move on.

Admitting mistakes is a slippery slope...people might start questioning all kinds of stuff.
You know...Id respect the "ministry" a lot more if they DID admit to mistakes and admit they were wrong.
True...if you make that admission depending on what you have been preaching...people may get mad and leave and not go to "your church" anymore...but it may also get them to read the Bible with fresh eyes for themselves and discover a savior they never really knew as much as they thought.
And geez...how much burnout is in ministry these days? Maybe that mess will calm down when they stop feeling like they gotta micromanage and play 4D chess with how Christ builds His church.
Remember He said that He would build it...He never subcontracted that out to "ministry"
We are supposed to take His Word and use that, not just add amendments to it.
How many of you would intern at one of Gordon Ramsey's Michelin Star restaurants and go adjust his recipe?
We wouldnt cause he knows what hes doing way better than I do and it'd probably get me cussed out and fired.
So why in the name of Jeremiah Peabodies Polyunsaturated Quick Disolving Fast Acting Pleasant Tasting Green And Purple Pills do we think that God intends to just turn His plan over to the whims of humanity to put words in His mouth willy nilly?
God:"My plan is the pinnacle of perfection...I have it all worked out...but here...YOU drive."
Really?
I thought He came, bled, died and came back so that there could be more of Him less of us in our lives but its like we just wanna keep Him around for the fun parts and edge Him out the door on the others...cause you know...reliable human nature and all that.
Ever think that the spirit of antichrist isnt some boogieman off in Europe somewhere trying to chip us but maybe its the part of the Church trying to do it our way instead of His way?
