I don't believe so, personally. I believe that everyone from Adam on through to whoever, as long as they were following the will of God, are not sleeping whatsoever. I believe that they're in Glory right now. when Jesus Christ made atonement like a high priest going into the holiest of holies, all of that applied to those Old Testament Saints and they're very conscious in glory.

And before ad70 ever came around, Paul said that if he was to die, he would be separate from the body and present with the Lord.

So, I believe that since the cross when we die we go right to glory and late the second Resurrection where our bodies will be made immortal.

we either meet Jesus at death and become immortal, or
we return to dust and at the resurrection become immortal

because the only Ghost is the holy Ghost and we are not him.

not so simple. Resurrection is when your Spirit/Soul comes back to your body.
I suppose that Hades was a place for the dead spirit (Jesus preached to them too)

While it's true Augustine was a pagan convert to catholicism, and kept some of his pagan beliefs, the pagan immortal soul teaching was apparently already picked up by the Pharisees hundreds of years previously.

But yet you said earlier:

This proves that in immortal soul doctrine the resurrection is nothing. The dead are NEVER really dead. They are alive rejoicing in the glory of Jesus presence right now!

Even Jesus Christ...NEVER really died!

Matter of fact no human being has EVER died!

The resurrection of the dead is a foundation Christian doctrine. Immortal soul is not.

Nobody speak about Philosophy i think.
We speak about spirit/Soul as the Bible speaks.
