The church does. It may well be that there are enough who would agree to sell that the point is moot, but it's still factually accurate to say "we" (the church body) own the building. The sale would have be approved by a vote of the members.

Re: Internet Preacher
That church doesn't own any building. I'm pretty sure the building is owned by a not for profit CORPORATION rather than by a collective of individual believers.
Who signed the purchase contract? Who signed the purchase money mortgage? Who will sign the sales agreement?
Exactly.
Even if "the members" have to "vote" to approve Corporation decisions like disposing of assets, it is the CORPORATION that owns the building and engages in the action. And every CORPORATION is a CREATURE OF THE STATE, legally.
People don't get together and create a corporation. Somebody PETITIONS THE STATE and the STATE creates the corporation. This is basic corporate law 101.

Re: Internet Preacher
And the problem with state created corporations masquerading as "churches" should be obvious. The actual church was incorporated thousands of years ago under the jurisdiction of what is to all secular governments a FOREIGN STATE. It is subject to the Law of that state - which law is the Holy Bible. The church owes it's existence and loyalty and allegiance to Christ and His Kingdom not to a modern state or its "public policy".
These are real, bona fide, matters of LAW. And were in fact recognised as such many moons ago. But since the general population has been dumbed down by a century of literal Soviet education and doesn't know or really care about this stuff, the scam continues. Thus, to most people, including most professing Christians, God really is a make-believe fantasy, rather than GENUINE objective reality.

So, when they make going to church illegal you will still be having meetings.

Bro, I applaud you, as you must have been the best dodge ball player in your school. This isn't about homes. You asked about why $1,000 for four services is cheap. I answered. You are saying about se vices in the home. I was the Home Cell leader director, but there is problems in those undertakings as well. One of our leaders split off and took his home cell group with him. We tried to correct him, he wouldn't have it. I am not the Pastor, do you can scream at me till Judgement day and still I am not the Pastor. Meet in people's homes? How about just some young people skating out in the open? They got arrested by the Canadian Gestapo. People are being encouraged t tell on their neighbors if they have people over, never mind about Church.
I asked someone on here if you believe in fallowing the law and legal challenges to run its course before going to civil disobedience. There are already calls for Churches that break he health order to be stripped of Tax Exempt status, and Old Justin Trudeau may just be looking for a scapegoat. We aren't going to give it to him. As well, there are people in our congregation who while good brothers and sisters will not break the health order.
So sitting in Florida pontificating while not being in our shoes is a classless way to live Prove me wrong? Get on a plane and fly up here and see it first hand, then you will get a handle on what we face. Save your sermonizing for others.

At is a nice generalization Esaias but in reality, it doesn't always fly. When I say real estate is expensive, that include homes. I live in a modest semi detached house. It was built in 1976.it is appraised at over 1 million Canadian. I know Brothers and Sisters who work two to three jobs between them just to survive. Homeschooling? How? They are working. Don't view the World from your small town viewpoint, it doesn't work.

So all the members of your church are homeless. That's why the church can't meet from house to house. Got it.
BTW, we raised over half a dozen children, homeachooled them all, on one blue collar income. We spent time living in an RV, at two grandmothers' houses, a friend's spare bedroom, a garage, a 2 bedroom mobile home, a two room plywood shack, and a rented 2 bedroom house, sometimes unemployed or laid off due to shutdowns etc, often with no transportation.
But we managed to homeschool them all.
How? It's called dad goes to work and mom takes care of the kids while everybody trusts and obeys God. Kind of how civilisation has done it for about 6,000 years.
Homeless people on the street have successfully homeschooled their kids.
How? It's called want-to.

An elder in my life told me a story of a Pastor friend of his, how he couldn’t go full time in the ministry, or do this or that, all the while he was climbing into his corvette.....

Bro Cunningham, Bro Lee stoneking both came and preached I'm our area. Both said that there are strongholds not yet defeated. Boy was he right, went through 6 Church splits. Attacked in finances, health, lost a 1.6 Million building in 1998 that would be worth 15 million today. Buried two of our pastors. Corvette? I wish.
