Separation of church and state is an idea meant to keep religion out of politics. The problem with this idea is that the creator of the world might not think it best that his ideas for his creation , be left out of how his creation should govern themselves. He may think he knows best. He might not force himself where he is not wanted, but this doesn’t somehow make the separation of church and state an intelligent idea. This is God haters attempt at ridding themselves of the responsibility to live according to Gods word. If in the end they will be judged by that word , what does it avail them/us to hide from his word our whole life. This to me is probly the most foolish and ludicrous idea floating around that I have ever heard. Even when the people of Israel wanted a king , he still was to abide and rule lawfully and according to Gods will. Go check with King Saul and see if he thought God gave them freedom to govern themselves outside of Gods commandments. He paid the price for his disobedience.
Still today every nation that forgets God shall be turned into hell. I know Obama would disagree with this , he thought there was no place for the Bible in governing the people.

Go read up on the origin of that phrase. It wasn't meant to keep religion out of politics, it was meant to keep politics out of religion.

Actually, what the founding fathers were trying to stop was not keeping God out of Government, but in not preferring one denomination over another.
Case in point, Henry the VIII had a wife Catherine of Aragon. He wanted to divorce her, the Pope said no. Henry said, Okay, let's stay up the Church of England (Anglicism) and have me as the head.
The founding fathers were trying to avoid a repeat.
