Seriously, your thinking is extremely flawed. We are not to incorporate other religious practices with the practice of following Jesus. Jesus wasn't born in December 25th. Mithra, yes, Jesus no. Again, we wouldn't even be having this discussion if you were born and raised in the Eastern part of the Roman Empire. Russians who are raised in Orthodoxy don't even acknowledge December 24th and the 25th. If the Romans didn't baptize Mithraism into their ideology of their church. You wouldn't even care about December 25th. So, your protection and defense of this day is simply sentimental and within the tradition you were raised in.
