I miss how it used to be in Gabby's thread.

I've been extremely busy the past two weeks with youth camps... which is why I haven't been around to post much at all.

I do have good news to share... for those who didn't see it in my update thread about the camps... my 8 yr old son Michael received the Holy Ghost on Wednesday night at camp-- and he was baptized today.

I am exhausted from all the work at the youth camps, and it will take me a few days to recover and get rested-- but it was worth every minute of time I put into it. I really enjoyed getting to work at the camps this year. It is such a blessing to get to see kids involved in church things-- and seeing them filled with the Holy Ghost.

I agree!! I used to look forward to posting everyday here and chatting with my wonderful friends on here and I miss it greatly!!!!!!!!! Some days I have problems or exciting fun things to talk about and I don't have too many people to share them with - especially when it comes to God and church related issues.

I think Sis. Truthseeker was the glue holding this place together. When she withdrew, it all fell apart.

Well, then it seems to me that we have to find ourselves another fearless leader. Any volunteers?

I agree. I miss chatting with all of you. Lately, I've gotten so busy on the main area, that I just haven't taken much time here. I apologize. Plus I've been busy with life in general.

Summer time means baseball season at our house. We're at baseball games all the time, it seems!! Keith is a great 3rd baseman, so it's fun to watch him play. Of course, maybe I'm a LITTLE prejudiced

Today we spent at the doctor's office. Keith had to have a med check and also physicals for camp in July and sports physical for school sports next year. Justin had to have a physical for his worker's permit so he can work at McDonald's. And of course, we couldn't schedule them at the same time because Justin's job schedule conflicted. And it always takes us twice as long when we go to the pediatriacian as it takes most people because the doc and I are good friends, so of course, we have to chat.

So what've you all been up to lately?

We can share about our babies. I'm a first time mom and a bit overwhelmed at times. I had lots of child care experience but it just doesn't compare to having your own newborn.

Pragmatist, I've done home daycare for 20 years. When we adopted out boys at ages 3 & 17 months, I thought that surely all that experience doing daycare all these years would have me completely prepared. HA!! WRONG!!!!!

There is nothing in the world like when they are your very own children. When YOU are the one who is responsible for their every need, for their education, for teaching them right from wrong, for keeping them safe and happy, and most of all for making sure that they know at all times how loved and cherished they are. Nothing like it!!!

And guess what - now my boys are teens!!! And there ain't NOTHING that coulda prepared me for this stage!!! Just wait!!! You'll see!
