Who believes in three Gods?! There may be some out there, but not so with trinitarians I know...

that was a cheap shot at Epley, in my opinion....

Amen!! But, sis, not only do we vent against them, we go off on each other.
I was thinking about this and Matt's sticky post...we are Apostolic...one Body of believers, yet sometimes we trwat each other so common.
True, this is a discussion board, but AFF/GNC/any other Apostolic forum are not your everyday, run of the mill forums. We should be different...a place where we come for fellowship, have a laugh or two and good discussion.
To think that we won't disagree is to live in Fantasy Island, but some, and I admit to having been in that number from time to time, seem to forget that we are the family of God.
We are often so ready to expect the worst...think that someone's intent was wrong, it is not funny.
Why can't we expect the best and think that the intentions of the Saints is honorable?!
I don't get it...

I'm not so sure she meant it as a cheap shot - more in jest. My husband and I have both said that if Brother Epley lived closer we would visit his church - maybe even attend it on a longer term basis than just visiting. He's an ultra con, alright, but not a mmmmeeeeeannn ultra con.

Denying the work of the Holy Ghost in the life of a true believer and saying that ALL trinitarians are lost isn't a mmmmeeean statement? You need to ask a trinitarian what they think.
BTW, I'm not a she!

I am not going to defend Bro. Epley other than to say that I don't think he is intentionally mmmmmeeeaaaannnn as CC1 has pointed out numerous times. He posts what he posts because he believes it strongly not because he is trying to be mean. That is why I stretched out the mmmeaaaaannn word. I don't consider him "overly mean" as defined through the consensus of posters here...Don't ask me to define it. ....LOL ....There are trinitarians who believe ultra cons are lost because they have so many rules. It works both ways. Believe me I have a respect for trinitarians....My background is in trinitarianism, if you want to call it that....I have personally known several trinitarians who have been led into the knowledge of the Oneness of God. When trinitarians visit, I don't treat them any differently than Oneness people who visit church.
My husband was brought up as an ultra con. That's why I added that statement about maybe attending Bro. Epley's church longer than just one visit, if we were in his area. My husband reads here and had made that statement to me several times. He's made that about several other people's churches here. I probaby wouldn't fit into his church, but maybe I would - not sure. It's a moot point anyway.
I am truly sorry that I confused you with being a "she"....I noticed Felicity's picture there with you, and thought I was responding to her post. I realize now you are her husband....My bad...(I hate that expression - but you know what I mean.)... Look back at my first post about this topic. I was in a way defending Felicity. I thoroughly enjoy reading her posts and am always interested in her perspective!

Talklady, I do understand what you meant and concur with your opinion that people like SE post the way they do because they believe it so strongly. I post the way I do for the same reason. I believe very strongly that SE may be sincere, but that doesn't mean he's right to publicly condemn to hell people who have been born again and love Jesus Christ with all their hearts , simply to make a doctrinal statement. I feel that he is guilty, (along with others who take the same position), of doing what the disciples did when they wanted to call fire down and destroy those who didn't receive Jesus. The only difference is that his fire is in hell. I am convinced that if Jesus was posting on AFF, He would say the same thing to them as he did to His disciples, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” (Jn.9:55,56)
God has saved the trinitarian believer as well as the oneness believer. They have placed their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, identified with Christ in baptism, and received the same gift of the Holy Ghost as oneness believers. Besides that God has placed His anointing upon them and they are having a much greater impact for God in the world than any ultra con movement I know about. If what SE states is true, Jesus didn't come to save those trinitarians who have placed their faith in Him for salvation, but to deceive them and then destroy them in hell.
