Tolerance would have said...

I also try to practice respect, but as already mentioned respect has to be earned. I can be tolerant of anyone because I have control of that! They can be total jerks, but I choose to look past that and be tolerant of their jerkness!

See that would be tolerant - not respect. You are going to tolerate them and just let it go.
Respect is important, but it's more about the tone or attitude you take when posting with someone.
