Isn't it great that your dad saved that stuff?
I was just reminiscing with my husband last night in regard to the "Phillipine Fiasco" trying to refresh my memory as to the details. I asked him if he has that correspondence saved somewhere. He said that he thinks he does and I reminded him again to be very careful what he throws away. A lot of this king of information and correspondence, etc. would be great for historical purposes or if someone was wanting to write a book or whatever.
He threw a bunch of stuff away a number of years back including many of his sermon notes and now he rues the day he did that.
It's so interesting to go back and read letters and other kinds of correspondence that was sent and written decades ago. You forget so much and all that info is a treasure trove really!
