A UPC church will preach a man who has never been UPC a lot quicker than one who was UPC and left.
Suber is a big boy so surely he realized this would happen so I think the reason he felt comfortable doing it and knowing most of his UPC regulars would dry up is that he did have the "in house evangelist" or whatever positions in place at the Breakfast church in Houston and Promiseland in Austin.
It should be intersting to see how he handles having a lot less places to preach.

Of course his schedule has taken a major hit because of his dis-affiliation with the UPC and I believe that he knew the consequences. But don't tell me that JS could not fill up empty slots at almost any Charismatic church. I'm sure that he could preach 7 days a week if he wanted to.
