I do not agree with the reports youve been given. There are some churches here where standards are not taught to any real degree. But to suggest that people are backslidding because they cant find a good standard teaching church is just silly.
I go to the same church Ive been a part of since 1995. my wife and I still hold to the standards we grew up with in Louisiana. You hold what you believe.
also, there are some very conservitive churchs in the Metro plex. more conservitive than I am for sure! Steve Pixler is in the mid-cities and has a fantastic revival church (he also preaches AMF Conferences if you are looking for conservitive credentials).
there are also UPCI churches that hold very traditional standards and also churches that are More Moderate, liberal and even ultra liberal....
but your backslidden friends are backslidden because they backslid. NOT because they couldnt find a church that preached it "hard enough" that is just plain drivel!
