No, I meant what I said. When scripture says something clearly enough that a 3rd grader can understand it, and someone still refuses to see what the Bible says, it is disdain for the scriptures. It is a willingness to ignore the truth of scripture as stated, and just want to live as one wants.
This deal with 'personal conviction' is a lie from Hell. We have this modern notion that one can have a personal conviction about certain things, and not others, regardless of what scripture says. Suddenly we can pick and choose what standards we want and which we do not. This is a lie. If it is in scripture, how dare we tell God we do not have a personal conviction to follow those scriptures?!
Sorry, folks. Regardless of what people say, we must live the Bible way, regardless of what our flesh desires.
