After having a late evening last night - I slept til 10:00, lazied around a bit and then headed to the pool for a few hours.
Nice sunny, breezy day so relaxing at the pool was awesome!
Now, what to do the rest of the day?

Happy July 4th
Happy 4th of July or Independence Day.
This is the time when we think of those brave men who so long ago stood up to a tyrannical government and declared their independence. They also declared their dependence on God to establish and define this great country which is known as "the land of the free and the home of the brave." We also think about those brave men and women who gave their lives over the years so we could enjoy the freedom we have today. And, of course, it is time to think about and pray for, the men and women in our military who are putting their lives on the line every day for us and others.
Today is also a time to think about "the scars and stripes" of Jesus by which we were made free from the bondage of sin. Years ago the prophet Isaiah foretold a child that would be born and a son that would be given for us and that the government of a new Kingdom would be on His shoulders. He told us that the prophesied child and son would not just be any baby but would also be the Messenger of great counsel, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. and that His Kingdom would have no end.

My daughter in Norman, OK is flooded.

Independence! Freedom! Liberty!

Freedom is a Liberty we all to often take for granted.
As you celebrate may it be done with a heart of gratitude, and with a humility that except for God's Grace, we could have been born into poverty, war, famine,
or just into despair.

I have been working on the displays most of the day - setup and prep. I am taking a short break before I return to actually activate the charges. We are hoping for no rain the next couple hours....

We weren't even allowed to have fireworks here tonight, because there is a fire ban due to everything being so dry. Unless you got a special permit to shoot fireworks over a body of water.... there's a ban on them.
