Regarding church: There is a UPC church here in town I have thought about attending. I visited once and have spoken with the pastor a couple of times. He seems ok and all that, but I just don't feel that his church is where the Lord would have us go. I've wrestled with it a bit over the last few months and am waiting for the Lord to give me some direction on the whole thing.

I call it my God given right to live my life for the kingdom of God without you trying to be my conscience, convictions and Lord!

I call it my God given right to live in a way that pleases my Jesus without your stupid rules.

I wonder...who is really the one in bondage here???

My Pastor said it best today in church.....Standards are NOT Holiness!!!

And he added...

For those of you that want to be a Pharisee.....grade on a curve!

And yes he is UPCI and a presbyter!

I would have to admit that you have never ceased to bring passion in your posts. You have been one of the most colorful members here on AFF. Sometimes, the passion that you have presented would be considered a bit reactionary.

You have made some very valid points and thought provoking statements in the pasts. Just don't let yourself get so riled up with those that have intentionally ruffled your feathers...

It was obvious that you have grown in your personal relationship with Christ and have refused to become encumbered by man-made yokes and determined to walk in a greater understanding of the grace of God. You have become a fine representative of the moderate party, which was the label I was given not too long ago.

God bless you and your lovely wife. I was overjoyed to read how the Lord has worked in your life and your career. May God bring unexpected blessings to you everyday.
