Grow a garden and store up plenty of toilet paper for the coming distress. Get a shotgun to defend your cache of toilet paper. Pray a little bit and study your bible some if you can find the time to get around to it.

Store what food and water you can store when possible. Most of all live fully for Christ. Understand that your death as a martyr is a great victory. Believe in immortality even eternal life more than you believe in anything else.

So, from what I gather from the responses so far, generally speaking most (not necessarily all, but most) of the folks who believe in 'going through the tribulation' will just be going along for the ride, and aren't really preparing for anything, other than trusting God to take care of them.

Would that about sum it up?

Believe in post trib, but live like pre trib?

Jesus gave his disciples instructions regarding tribulation, including 'when they persecute you in one city, flee unto another'.

Have any of you post tribbers taken that into account? Or do you believe that if and when the time comes you will just supernaturally have a UHaul ready and a place to go, food to eat, etc etc in another town?

I really am not trying to be facetious, I am just wondering how much doctrine folks actually take seriously....

It looks like the corn is NOT going to make it through the tribulation if it doesn't start quick.
One question if all this weight is falling off your neighbors in the trib and you are yet fat and sassy the neighbors might figure you have a secret stash. Goodbye corn. I am eating mine now.

Preparations???? I just have to believe that whatever we face, God will give us the grace at that time.
I must agree! Indeed, would not RIGHTEOUSNESS (i.e., equality of justice/treatment) demand that we NOT be exempted from persecution, yea, even death, when God has allowed many other saints to be subjected to such in times past?

I believe that this is perhaps the one thing which so many fail/neglect to consider when trying to determine the "timing" for the so-called rapture of the church.

Indeed, if there are to be ANY "living" saints present upon the earth at the moment of our Lord's 2nd coming, then I remain completely frustrated in my efforts to locate a sound scruptural answer to this question Jesus uttered - "Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8)

Concerning the actions one should undertake now to prepare for the expected persecutions during the coming reign of the Anti-Christ, my suggestion would be to simply exert our best efforts towards making our "calling and election" absolutely certain. If this is done, God will take care of the rest, just as He did for the Israelites of old following their departure from the land of Egypt. Not only did God provide them with the daily food they required, but we also find that even the same clothing they wore when departing from Eqypt was none the worse from wear during the 40 years they wandered in the wilderness.

In other words, why sweat the small stuff? Focus instead on the major thing.... a right standing in our relationship with God.

I certainly do not cherish the thought that I might be required to give my life in defense of my faith and trust in God, yet it remains my hope and prayer that, if need be, I would do so willingly, being confident of the "promised" rewards which lie ahead beyond the darkened veil of death.
