Praying- for you family- Tina. I know that all this sickness can be a hassle. I pray that your husband is able to get back to work, if his can. You certainly do not want him to relapse.

My kids are mad at me.

I woke them up today at 6:45. Informed them that today is homeschool co-op day. They know this means they are supposed to get up, get dressed, have breakfast, clean their rooms... and finish Math & Science work before we leave at 11am. They had PLENTY of time to do those things with time to spare. They received a few gentle reminders throughout the morning that at 11am would be time to leave. However I didn't remind them of the responsibility they had to clean their own rooms and do their Math & science lessons. At 11am-- I shut down my computer... slipped on my shoes and picked up my purse.

Then I walked through the house. Bedrooms weren't cleaned. I informed them I was keeping my word to the avon lady by going to her house to pick up the order she was unable to deliver due to us all being sick with the flu. Then I would be going to the post office to get stamps. Then I would return home, at which time their rooms had better be cleaned if they wanted to avoid additional consequences other than just missing the homeschool co-op today.

That makes me an evil, mean mother.... and I am SO unfair to them to make them miss the co-op.

Do you ever have to do things that make your kids "hate" you? My 7 yr old is telling me now that he "hates me". This seems to be his normal reaction when he's angry with me.

The girls are just giving the me the silent treatment and stomping around because I keep finding them "extra" chores. How long do you think it will take them to realize that when they stop the "pouting & stomping fits" -- that the extra chores will stop?

It's in the "shopping mall" forum. (I'll get you the link in a minute) I had posted A link to a website I found at another forum. They were offering a random box of stuff for $4.88 plus shipping. You aren't told what's in the box... but guaranteed that the box would be stuffed full of stuff. Either I'm gonna get a bunch of junk... or maybe something worthwhile... but at any rate, just a random box of stuff.

Good Afternoon!!

I just got back from my Diabetes Consulting appt. this is gonna be a stressful month (as if it isn't already!) with having to make sure I am keeping on a strict eating schedule. The "diet" part really doesn't bother me too bad - I have tried to keep a healthy diet thus far anyways but the strict schedul and consistancy is what will be bad especially with our busy lifestyle. We are always on the go and never eat at the same time every day. Plus I have to remember to always check my blood sugar 2 hours after every meal. I will be soooooo happy when this is all over. I am just hopeful that I am not getting all this started too late. It seems like I should have been doing this weeks ago, I am now almost to the point where my body is going to start going back down on the amount of "insulin" it needs for the carbohydrates - or whatever, it still confuses me!!! Well, I just wanted to share my concerns and frustrations.
