We have the ceremony on cassette tape. You know we weren't allowed to video. I'm going to play that when he comes in after work or I'm going to play the song my sister sang, "Only God Could Love you More". It was an awesome song and several young ladies borrowed the split track for their subsequent weddings.

Never heard of that kind of ice cream???
That is great.
35 years ago we didn't even tape it.

LOL! I don't even know if my tape still works. I don't play it every year, but I want to this year.
On the ice cream - Poteet is a town south of San Antonio. It is the strawberry capital. They have a huge festival every year in the spring. Blue Bell and other companies use their strawberries and label their strawberry ice cream - "Poteet Strawberry".
I grew up around that area and George Strait used to live there when he was little.

He picked up, of all things, some potted meat - in a can - the other day. I said, "I don't know why you would even want to eat that."
He said, "Don't tell me what I can and cannot eat!"

Thank yo so much, Jeanie.
We've had our ups and downs like other couples (nothing detrimental), but I have always generally been happy with him. I have high respect for him as a husband, father and Christian. He's just steady!
Couldn't ask for more than that? Couldn't want more than that!

Lol...I just got done saying something similar...
My hubby and I will be celebrating 22 years at the end of this month. I made a statement of '22 years of wedded bliss'...but then thought better. If you've been married for 22 years, it wasn't all bliss. But it HAS been oh, so WORTH IT!

I know what you mean? I was 28 and he was 33 when we got married. I think it took us ten years to start getting along.
I heard Anthony Mangun say it took them 16.
Now, after 20 I know I did the right thing!!! I really know it now! God is good to me!!
