The statement is not a salvational statement, but a doctrinal statement, and meant to be taken in its weakest, watered down forum. I strived to place the bare minimum into it that we wanted to be identified with.
Our basis for fellowship here is simply that all of us agree that Acts 2:38 is in the bible, and is correct. That is about all it means. This is why I found it so hard to believe that some would balk on it.
Now about meeting for lunch sometime in the future............
