Ditto! There was definetly a higher level of scriptural disscussion and debate.

It was new to some of us at FCF to read and post in the open debates.

It's just lost it's noveltey .....after you've seen the same subjest debated 10 times..it get's old.

There was discussion...there was whining....

What made the difference was controversial topics.

Shiver my timbers, you and Felicity.

Bro. Scott is all the time dropping little tidbits about his wife. There was nothing cold about that at all.

It was unnecessary like I said.

Whoever you are behind a mask of continual sarcasm, which I find highly annoying, and not that you may care, HOW DID FELICITY GET IN YOUR ANSWER TO ME?!

I have not read all of this thread but did read your response to the Elder's post and found it COLD...my opinion and nothing at all to do with Felicity!!

Y'all need to get a grip...

The prophecy section with Elders Blume-Chalfant-Parsons were great.

Please let me explain, the whoopee thread was nothing indecent, it was romantic.
I was quite new at FCF at the time, and I thought it was only about doctrine and standards so I was surpized to see something like that discussed there.
I didn't mean to offend anyone or cause controversy ,if you were offended at my posts please forgive me.

There are several reasons why I miss the old FCF.

In the first place, it was my first Apostolic discussion forum, and debating the issues with strangers online was a new and novel experience. As several have mentioned, I think some of us old timers have become a little jaded with the same old arguments recycled over and over again, and the same tired old put downs and accusations of abuse and phariseeism.

Secondly, there was an eclectic mix of posters that made for a level of discourse that has never been matched in my opinion. Some of the players that were there made it what it was. Brother Chalfant, Parson, Doug Joseph, Breachmender, Wally, Maple Leaf...and of course the man lots of you guys love to villify, WWOD. Say what you will, the forum will never be what it was without him. I even miss Tribble and all his antics and lunacy.

I enjoyed NFCF, and have enjoyed AFF, though my interest has waned some lately. But neither of them have been what FCF was.

Like Tennyson said in one of his poems, "The tender grace of a day that is dead/ Shall never come back to me."

Pastor Smith and Newman posted quite often. Many of those folks we never or hardly ever hear from.
