I posted something from the CoJC (Kingsport) manual about that.
I'll see if I can find it later today.

The PMA was formed in 1925 and in 1932 changed its name to PCI (Pentecostal Church Inc)

Anybody have any idea if the AMA is still active, and if so, what about size, who is presiding bishop, is there a web site, etc?

This is a previous post about the CoJC (Kingsport).
The latter part is about Boyd Lawson.

The doctrinal statement/bylaws of the Church of Jesus Christ (headquartered in Kingsport, TN) can be downloaded.

Here is what is on page 10 about the name of the church:
The Name of the Local Church
We stand uncompromisingly for the name, The Church of Jesus Christ, being the name of Christ's Church. We reject any other name other than The Church of Jesus Christ being used in reference to the church either locally or nationally. The Church of Jesus Christ has stood for the name of the Church since its charter in 1927; and therefore this is an article that cannot be changed as long as we operate under our present Charter No. 3146, The Church of Jesus Christ, National Charter.

This is what is on pages 9 and 10 regarding God's name
The Name
We believe the Name Jesus Christ to be the Name of the One True God, although God used many names and titles such as God Elohim, God Almighty, El Shaddai, Jehovah, and others in the Old Testament. He did not reveal His true Name until His incarnation in human flesh, and then came the revelation of His Name, Jesus Christ. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) This prophecy was fulfilled, “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21) “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow...And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord...” (Phil. 2:9-11) “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:10-12) We believe that Jesus Christ is the saving Name (Matt. 1:18; 1 John 3:10-12, 23)

This is on page 23 of the bylaws
E. No minister of The Church of Jesus Christ Organization shall hold services for another church or assembly in the same town where there is an affiliated Church. If NO fellowship exists between the local pastor of The Church of Jesus Christ and the other church.
F. We strongly recommend that no minister own a television that is hooked up to receive commercial broadcasting.

This is on page 24 of the bylaws
Section 5. Titles Used In Reference To The Minister
No minister in The Church of Jesus Christ shall be referred to as Reverend. The Bible gives titles to which we may refer to one another. They are: Bishop, Elder, Evangelist, Missionary, Pastor, Teacher, and Apostle.

This is on page 34 of the bylaws
The Church of Jesus Christ started on the day of Pentecost, as Peter preached in the Name of Jesus Christ. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said, "I will build my church."
Brother Hawthorne was at first organizing, but later saw that God's hand was upon this young man, Mark Lawson; and later joined with him in this great work of establishing The Church of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
Bishop M.K. Lawson's dream was to build a headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee, for The Church of Jesus Christ, that all nations would flow into. The Church of Jesus Christ was chartered in the State of Tennessee on March 1, 1927, and in Washington, D.C. on June 13, 1934, Charter Number #3146 in the U.S. Patent Office.

This is also on page 34 of the bylaws
Be it Resolved, that the resignation of Bishop B.C. Lawson be accepted by this body as of this meeting August 14, 1975. That it be noted that B.C. Lawson is no longer connected with The Church of Jesus Christ in any way;
Be it Resolved, that the present Bishop Board will not be responsible for the indebtedness that Boyd C. Lawson has made unauthorized by the Bishop Board;
Be it Known and Resolved unto all that Boyd C. Lawson was at no time authorized to take fifty (50%) percent of incoming funds of The Church of Jesus Christ while he was the Presiding Bishop;
Be it Resolved, that no preachers (minister) shall be allowed to pastor any Church that belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ unless that have current credentials and a Fellowship Card up-to-date with The Church of Jesus Christ, Corporate Offices, Kingsport

I used to go to Dayton, OH and preach at a church called The Jesus Name Pentecostal Church. Bro. William Coleman was the pastor. He was in the ALJC but was also in the AMA. The last time I was there was in the late nineteen seventies. Bro. Coleman used to publish the official AMA magazine. I don't even remember its name. There were only a few churches and pastors listed. I think it was less than a dozen. I just figured that when Bro. L.R. Ooton died and some of the others that the organization just died also.

Many years ago I used to get a newsletter from a group somewhere in Tennessee that had (I think) some form of the name Church of Jesus Christ in their name. I think it was headed by a woman whose last name was Pierce. I think her first name was Nina. Women ministers were called Eldress in that group. I think they believed in sanctification as a separate work of grace.

Maybe Eld. Epley can remember something about that group. It's probably been 45 years or so since I heard from them.
