Dear Friends in the Homeland:
Just a note to thank you for your continued support both in prayers and offerings.
Sunday I was so amazed as we worshipped God for well over six hours. What a people, what a dedication I thought…as I saw them while hands in the air many with tears streaming down their face I thought, “OH! If our homeland supporters could ever see this!”
Sunday was a special day, a day of ordaining new preachers, a special ladies service, a time for Sunday schools and a small wedding sermon for a new couple… all in one day in one service! No I doubt we would ever sit in America for almost seven hours…The pews are too comfortable, the fast foods to easy to get, our minds are on other things.
Yet the foreign field is different. Most live in dire poverty and Jesus has become their reason for existence. Church is the center of their life.
I said in my SS class we want to start another department within my class and we will call it Sharing the Gospel. Monday after lunch a brand new convert that is in my class called me and said, “Missionary, I have been over at my grandmother´s sharing Jesus with her.”
