In a broad sense I think in MARK.11 the fig tree represents individuals who don't bear fruit.
In a kind way I'm not trying to debate here I think the fig tree in MATT.24 and LUKE 21. represents the signs that those those in the first century saw to alert them that Jerusalem was fixing to be seiged by Titus and the Roman armies.
