Many a saving message from God comes from the less than the headlining stellar orator...just ask Balaam...........

I was not directly referring to your comment.
Can a sinner bring a message to you from God? A sinner helped me stay in Church when I was drifting away.

As far as inviting a known unrepentant offender into one's pulpit........probably not a good idea [understatement used for emphasis]

I was more properly referring to styles of preaching or lack thereof......should class or crass stop us from hearing God's voice? No! Can it? Yes!

First of all, just because Peter and Jesus and John the Baptist made some blunt statements does not give us leave to let whatever we think fly out of our mouths. AND, bluntness, crudeness and rudeness was not the overall speaking style of ANY of those men.

Secondly, I like Jeff Arnold's preaching. I've heard some really good sermons out of him! But I'm not going to be so obtuse that I can't understand how someone could be offended by some of the things he says and does, and rightfully so.

You want crude? Read the book of Ezekiel, and the comparison of Israel and Judah to whores with some explicit descriptions of their deeds.

Or how crass can you get than running around preaching in the nude for a few years?

Those minor Prophets in the Old Testament must have been way off base....(tic)

Just a question that may give you pause...

How do we know? The Bible records words which may or may not have been spoken in exact words by those men, and I don't have the audio version as to hear how they spoke........

Like I said...there's a time and place for being blunt. Sometimes its needed, and sometimes it just makes folks sit up and listen. I'm not against it....entirely.

I have read the Bible, Rev.

Miss Technical.

Okay.

According to what is recorded in scripture. All preaching should convict any wicked heart...but crudeness isn't necessary for that.

Anyway...ya'll are talkin' like I said something bad about JA. I didn't.

That's Ms.

Anyway......*I* wasn't the one who said you said something bad about JA.....LOL! I was just commenting on your post. I was going to address it earlier when someone else mentioned it, but decided to go for you instead...!!

I think JA is funny, and seeing him that way doesn't bring me much from his messages.......but he's still funny!
