I told my Mom that this jewelry was mostly too gaudy for my taste, but a lot of people love it! She did make me a cross brooch that I will wear though.
I hope that she does well to supplement her retirement. I am very proud of her for being such an entreprenuer. She even made the website herself!!

Your mom's jewelry is not gaudy at all, it is beautiful and in very good taste.

As for advertising...Google Ads is a good way to start...(they're not free). Also, there's some way to put tags or something in the script that makes up your website (Okay, I'm not the computer geek, so Prax and Boomm...don't be too hard one me!), anyway, the tags need to help folks find her website with all different search terms...like "sea glass", "jewelry", "recycling", "trash to treasure", "old glass", "beach jewelry", etc etc etc. I think Jeff even puts in misspelled versions of words that relate to his sites.
My husband's website is #1 in Google and Yahoo! if you look up "smoking meat", #2 for "smoked ribs" and right up there for quite a few other terms that relate to smoking meat. He's pretty good at moving his sites up in the search engines. Your Mom is welcome to email him: jeff@smoking-meat.com

Thank you, MB! That's awesome! I will let her know!

Pretty awful, I suspect. But there are some here who would look very nice.
The name of the book is True Stories of the X-Amish.

Yes, it is. I have been there a number of times, mostly for family reunions. I have a TON of family there.

Thanks! I will tell her that you said that. She did make my daughter a nice necklace that is dainty and nice. Even my Mom thinks that some if it is gaudy. That may have been more when she first started though, some of it was pretty big. She is making more styles all the time. I rechekced what she has out on her website and you are right, most of that is more dainty than some of the other things she has made.

I checked the website. The jewelry is pretty and I really liked the background music playing.
As a child playing on the shores of Lake Superior I didn't realize I should have been collecting the glass............

I don't think anybody did think of it much back then.
