If a pastor feels he has the "right' to withhold his offering as a boycott... it was never an offering in the first place.
exactly!

I personally feel that the conservative ministers are just very frustrated because so much is changing (Only time will tell if the changes are for better or worse), and feel like they are no longer being heard by HQ. In their frustration to be heard, many are diverting funds from HQ and sending them directly to the source, or using sources like the IAM that takes no percentage out of the funds.

Is this right? I don't know all the ends and outs of the organization, so I don't know. But maybe a revolution is in order for this to come to a head and be dealt with.
I'm not trying to make anything up, but wasn't there a prophecy about the UPC around the time is was setup in 1940's? That the UPC as an organization would splinter by the same way it was formed - through division?

Here is the PM I sent to you minus a small private part at the end that had nothing to do with subject in question.

noticed on one of the threads.....didnt read it all, just the first two pages, that you seem to no longer like the makeup of the admin........even though renda is on a break.... as I have been for about three weeks or so......

it is real simple dan, if you dont like it feel free to not click on the link that brings you to the forum......but otherwise your constant banter gets old......

this is just MHlittleO...........

I am sure that there are many places that would love to have your banter.....but otherwise give some good discussion and not the constant pushing the lines.....

God bless.

Now I do not see where you were polled to leave the forum, I stated (and it was not as a member of admin or owner, but as a poster) that I noticed in your post you didnt seem happy..... and as a poster I am sick and tired of your pushing the lines.........(and I say as poster - to the best of my knowledge I have never even infracted you over a matter so I was not speaking as an admin for if I were I would have taken action.......)

Dont ever take anything I say and try to turn it to something it is not, for if I see it I will call your hand on the matter........too bad you couldnt keep it to PM...........

IAM
It is impossible to separate your owner/admin duties from your poster persona IAM. BTW, are we even supposed to share pm's on open forum?

Just asking.

Yes - and I shared what I WROTE and the part I wanted to share........where it would wrong would be for me to share his response or a PM sent to me without the senders OK.......otherwise I could have just written again the same words....and the PM was shared in order to make sure that there was no misunderstanding by someone else who thought that a member of Admin polled DA to see if he was leaving..........

Hope that helps...........

It is a fallacy to compare a pastor's relationship with and responsibility to a man made organization with the relationship of a saint and their local church.

Never the twain shall meet.

I do understand the frustration of the grass roots with a WEC that seems less and less in touch with them...I'm not sure withholding money from those who need it is the best way to express it though.

But the UPC is the the Church, and elected officials are not "Master Pastors" in spiritual authority over other pastors.

So your analogy doesn't hold up.

That false concept is one of the biggest problems in the organization.

I can say this because I am a member.
while you make a good point, in reality, any anology can be picked apart. I agree w/Michael. A pastor really has no right to preach about with holding tithes and offerings, if he himself cannot, especially if his constincuency allocates the monies to go to these various ministries.
