Interesting...

I will say this...I know of a couple who has been disfellowshipped from a UPC church. The reason's they are not completely sure of, only that there was disagreement with the pastor.

Also, another couple may have been disfellowshipped as well...will know later today.

What say ye?

I know a family who was a help too but they were disfellowshiped for stupid reasons and it was sure not left as a last resort for this pastor but just because the people who were disfellowshiped didnt agree with stupidity!

I was once told it was time for me to go by a Pastor. I was young in the ministry, and must have made him nervous........By the way, I was glad to go. It was one of those desert experiences, didn't really understand it all at the time, but it did work out for my good in the long run.

I used to be in a upc church that you just didn't leave. If you did leave, the saints of that church were instructed to have no fellowship with you.

We left 16 years ago to assist in another upc work n a neighboring town. We were treated by our "old friends" like we had the plague.

Recently many have appologized for their actions. We hold no ill feelings toward sthem as they did it in ignorant obedience to a paranoid pastor.

This kind of "disfellowship" is more prevalant in our ranks me thinks.
