This post is disturbing for a variety of reasons.
So do you see what I find objectionable?

There is no gift of discernment ... but a gift of discernment of spirits ... RW is simply expressing doubt ... see John th Baptist, Thomas and others.

Yes, I do.

He never called him a liar, but he definitely is claiming a superior word of knowledge. A gift of God is never a curse. Using RW's criterion for "trying the spirit" to determine prophetic accuracy, we should ascertain that RW's own prophetic gift is invalid. That is, if you believe gifts of the Spirit are good, and beneficial, and to be desired.

Dan,

Don't try to compare this mess with John the Baptist or Thomas.

RW has basically said that the two men of God involved in this testimony are fakes.

That is a clear violation of the rules of the forum, and one that will very likely point me to the door if it is allowed.

Not specifically, perhaps, but the implication is clear.

This has become a very sad thread, indeed. I admire Steadfast and his enthusiasm and zeal for the Lord and for revival. I believe his reports because I know the giftings of the Spirit are real; I've witnessed them in action too many times to doubt them.

There are lots of things on this forum that I question, but I respect the men/women who wrote them. CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG???????

I do my best to get along, Sherri, but a line has been crossed this time that I can't ignore.

I hope some resolution to this matter comes soon.

Do you think the enemy hates this thread?

I do.

He will use anyone to try and sow discord and doubt.

I am not going to buy into it!

This thread needs to turn back to where it began with the wonderous works of God.

We can not make someone believe the good reports of God, but we can choose to not let them bring us down.

I think we should flood this thread with the good reports of God!

I know the enemy would really hate that.

Often doubt is sown by our enemy ... and often is a product of our own minds.

Well, I can't say that I blame you on that. But I know once I wrote a report about a prophet that had been in service with us, and he got blasted (by name) and ridiculed and called a false prophet. I know it was real, so I chose to ignore them, but it still hurt.
