Dan,

You're right! oloroid

It is the gift of discerning of spirits. The implication would be that someone is not being moved upon by the Holy Spirit but by another spirit.

Doubt and skepticism are entirely different and that is what I think RW is expressing as well, even though he may want to call it a gift.

I do.

I am not going to buy into it!

This thread needs to turn back to where it began with the wonderous works of God.

We can not make someone believe the good reports of God, but we can choose to not let them bring us down.

I think we should flood this thread with the good reports of God!

I know the enemy would really hate that.
Esther, are you an admin?

These are nice thoughts, and I appreciate them, but there is an issue here that I am very interested in.

I want to know if this is going to be deemed acceptable. If it is, that is fine, but I won't participate.

Everybody has their line, and I am about to find mine.

If men of God of the caliber of Steadfast and his evangelist can be basically called liars, fakes, and snake oil salesmen, I'm done.

I reported a post here a few days ago, but please draw admin's attention to this thread, so a statement can be issued.

So I am left with the impression that you simply do not know what you believe, or that you are lying to us all. As you first state that you believe that Water baptism is to be done in Jesus name, and then you spend the rest of the thread tearing down that very doctrine.

Let me state that I have posted with you thus far as a poster. I am now stepping in as an admin to let you know that the propagation of ANY doctrine that undermines the doctrine of the Oneness of God, or that Jesus name baptism is the biblical mode of water baptism is not welcomed here. If you want to continue down that course, then Admin will take action. We will allow debate as to whether one is saved at belief, or at baptism, or at the reception of the Holy Ghost. But we will NOT allow debate as to any of these topics not being biblical.

Despise not prophecy.

If you follow the clear trail of his logic, he is claiming God inspired knowledge that the testimony is a fake, and attributable to the kind of techniques magician's use to work crowds.

Discernment, biblically, is simply the supernatural ability to ascertain whether a spirit, word, or action is of God, man, or demonic.

I understand that is what he is saying and very clearly, but I don't believe he has the gift of discerning of spirits. I think he is a skeptic.

RW didn't leave room for an "or" like the post about you did.

His "sense" was, according to him, "the gift of discernment."

You are comparing apples to cow piles here.
