LAME stick thing? Well now...thats purely a matter of opinion and you are entitled to it. But I can promise you this, come watch the stick drama team at my church just once and you won't be using the word "lame" for it!

Btw, I'm the director of the team...and I don't do "lame".

Tell me about it.

Watch Sis. Murphy come out of the woodwork again. If she does, I'll be saying, CC1 - Now see what you did!

I had to sit on the sidelines and play the record player. I guess I was just contributing to the delinquency of minors. Maybe I can still make heaven.

Sherri,
In 1977 I threw away my dad's note to excuse me from the dance part of class.

I danced away and never felt the guilt......

A dance is a dance is a dance! I was raised very liberal standard-wise, but dancing was a no-no. Every class party I went to, my cousin and I were the designated record player workers!

I don't think my parents knew they were having us do the hokey pokey and square dancing in elementary school... The school probably never even imagined that something like that could be considered an issue that they needed to inform the parents about (and who could blame them? lol)

Well, I don't think I was supposed to be square dancing either but I was new in church and didn't know.

But then again, I'm backslid anyway cause I lead a stick drama team and don't see anything wrong with the steppin done at NAYC. So...anyway...

I don't remember us doing the hokey pokey, but in the 5th grade we did the square dancing, yes we did. And ALL the girls back then wore dresses.
