Obviously we were having problems with people gossiping in the church and it was the ones that didn't own a television. LOL

Another long time ago, we were having people who came into the church through home bible studies and they got an attitude that they were now holy - more holy than others and they were giving some people, who were struggling with issues, a hard time. My husband was just a preaching away and he said "Some of you have more skeletons in your closet that you could to start a cemetary". Needless to say, the holier than thou crowd kind of backed off. LOL

I would have to agree with your husband....

One UPC pastor said to a friend of mine, "I only have one old lady in my church that doesn't have a TV and I wish she did because it would keep her off the phone!"....

Sounds pretty infantile. Imagine the faces on the visitors that night! Anyone who would conduct themselves in such a manner should just take down the “Pentecostal” sign from over the door and put up a sign with the word " Ichabod.”
