A lot of people run their mouth and have 50 or so in Sunday School and gripe and find fault with some one that is reaching out. We have lots of daughter works right here in the city where we live.
If people would stay busy they would find out the JOY of winning souls. I have heard the same old excuse lazy people make...I want quality and not numbers so they polish the same little group for 40 years while sinners die within the sound of their church bells but they remain uninvited and mostly unwanted especially if their color is different and they are not the top class people...shame... shame...
Well donīt get me started I am tired..and it is 1:21 in the morning here and I have company...

AMEN!! I need my pastor to preach that good!!!!!
L&T should have done this when they launch there first real campus in c-town.
That guy got murdered by some stupid people. He is a great guy and is trying to make the turn but he got hit mentally by people. I agree with sherri, they do need to help these young guys out. I think video venue will work for a season. i am not sold on it but if it is there vision than great. I dont think they understand how close this young man almost got killed.
Dont quote me on this but this church thing was new to him. I know he did cry out for help.
It is great for them to start to focus as apostles and not pastors. Maybe they can train these guys better in the future. Thumbs up sherri, remember they are working your vision that God gave you.
He is still wounded but from my contacts say he is doing better. It is sad when people who say they are friends turn there back on you and start working to get people to leave and help another work in the area.

Sorry, but no. We have been on TV for three years now and the results have been amazing and have definitely brought many people to our church, resulting in several salvations and changed lives.
BUT (and that's a very big but)....on the second Sunday of October, we are launching our first Sunday services in Savannah, where we have only had Thursday night Bible studies. It will be a video venue, with a live band and a campus pastor, but Eddie will preach via big screen. It will not be a live feed, but a week delay. Since that area is reached by our TV show, we didn't feel it would be advantageous to ask people to come to an 11 AM service with video preaching when they can sit at home and see it at 10:30 in their underwear. So, we are cancelling it for now.
Also, it will save the ministry about a thousand dollars per week, which will come in handy in other areas for now. Has TV been successful for us? Absolutetly!!! But it's not the answer for everything. God will continue to bless and hopefully all those people that we've met in Jackson who tell us they watch Eddie every week will now feel the need to venture out and visit the church in person!

Why should they buy the cow when they can get the milk for free?

Sometimes those who have LEFT the UPC do also!
By the way, just how heavy is the UPC? How many people does it take to lift it?

Ok, my dear friends...my house is full of people and we are getting ready for an exciting power packed service and I am working on a missions program with my son on the other computer. So today I am a very busy woman...ha...
The question was asked by our dear brother in sincerity so in just a few words let me explain first I will copy the question: Dozens of co-pastors working with him. How? Could you expound on that thought? How would the structure be if your husband had dozens of co-pastors?
We live in a city of almost a million people in the lease evangelized state of Brazil. Our workers (preachers) are young in ministry and we have opened up what we call daughter works. My husband is the main pastor and bishop of our central church. We have built 4 churches and rented 3 other buildings and have several house meetings scattered throughout our city. My husband is teaching these brothers they are NOT ready for any type FULL responsibility. They are NOT titled co pastors but ONE man could not pastor 8 churches and a bunch of house meetings. Besides these we have in other cities around us.
This is really an insight of how missions operate...always reaching out, helping develop new works and PREACHERS.
Some people may never develop a pastor´s ministry but they work well with an overseer helping them.
I thank the Lord for those that develop into great leaders and are able to be on their own but their will ever be a training period to develop more and more leaders.
I know we can become so technical sometimes and discuss what these men should be called...co pastors, campus pastors, ministers of this or that BUT it is not the name that is so important it is the winning of souls..
If we used the word elder here people would think we are Mormons or a Congregational church that does not believe in pastors...
In Brazil our young workers work up a scale. No one is just ordained pastor...they start off as a doorkeeper and if they do that well they become a deacon (young preacher) and on up the scale...
I think each church should use the best method that suits the country or area they work in.
Maybe later I can expound more…Remember Eddie is the son of missionaries.
