I guess we've all been like Joseph in Genesis 42:7 at some time or another. He recognized his brothers but they didn't recognize him.

amen, everybody wants to be "apostolic", but nobody wants to be a Christian.

The fact is the church is not only made up of stronger saints that CAN stand in the midst of Confusion, but also new born babes, that do not yet have the strength to stand in the midst of False doctrine. So to fellowship a church that teaches less that Acts 2:38 and holiness would be like feeding your babies a little rat poison every day. It may not kill the poor little thing right off, but don't doubt the lasting lifelong effects that are sure to become visible over time.

So you do take your little ones out and let them learn from the Mormons while you attempt to witness to them??

And where is the meeting going to be on September 28th?

The UACJC fellowship meetings are one of the few fellowship meetings that take place....the UACJC churches in general are more "old fashioned" than a lot of churches. But even at that, fellowship is segregated a lot... Maybe churches will fellowship with a few within their own little circle, but they won't have anything to do with the church across town or down the street.
The UACJC fellowship meetings are attended by mostly those within the org, but there are a few others as well. And attendance varies. It depends on where it's being hosted. Certain locations seem to have more draw than others.
At the last meeting they announced the next one would be in Brooklyn, but I just got the flyer in the mail today, and it states it will be in Tipton for September, so I guess they changed it.

Maybe I went too far back, as I was referring to Sherri's post where she stated that "If you have real truth and the power of the Holy Ghost, you shouldn't be afraid someone else will rub false doctrine off on you." My point is that while I may not have a problem standing in the midst of False Doctrine, I need to think of the babes in Christ that are also effected when I choose to have my church go and fellowship with them.
I am sure I am overdoing and stretching it to the extreme in my posting, but the point is that only a fool would open the doors up simply for fellowships sake, and risk the loss of the babes in the church.

A christian and a mormon are different religions! And why are you trying to indoctrinate a new believer, you should be educating them. A true education allows freedom of thought. Not do as I say and think as I think...

Tipton? That's where the late Rev. L.R. Ooton lived. But, I guess that's before your time (or before the time of most on this forum). I don't know when he died but when I saw him in the nineteen seventies he was an old man.
