Two forum members with opposing threads, neither of which I know.

My concern, elder, is this:
Since the pastor who is alleged to have done this did it in public, what is the concern of steadfast with telling who it is?

It's not like "this is just between you and me", now is it?

Things done, especially in public, must hold up to scrutiny. Perhaps the cruel light needs to shine on the pastor instead of steadfast. Yet, steadfast refuses to clear the whole matter up.

From what I have read, steadfast is vehemently opposed to the alleged actions of the pastor. Is there not a Biblical mandate to expose the heretic?
And not to fellowship with such?

Confusing, to say the least.

And we all know who is NOT the author of confusion.
Brother tatum,

I know Steadfast. He is one of my dearest friends, and I would stake my life on his integrity.

I don't know who he is talking about, but if he is related to the man, or has some type of connection to him, it could create a real problem if he were to name him on an internet forum.

As for a biblical mandate for exposing the heretic, I guess I haven't read that one. Maybe you could point me to some passages that would help me there.

From reading this thread, I can conclude that for whatever reason, he feels it would be unwise for him to reveal this man's name.

Your continued pressure to take him to task on this one point leads me to believe that you question his honesty, and seem to believe his reluctance to name the man is a witness against him.

Since you do not know him, I suppose your questioning of his integrity is excusable.

But since I do, I can tell you that he doesn't lie.

i have over my time on here which is not as much as others always thought you came across as honest

from what you have posted here it seems that whoever did this stupid act might be kin and you do not want to have to live with a fight where there is no need for one

added to that fact that anyone who would do something like this is just plain dumb in my book

it probably would not make the fight worth it since you would be stacking your loaded deck against their unloaded one

i do not blame you for not putting names out there and i think anyone who would want you to would be foolish (i said that nice)

carry on sf

Okay buckwheat... I never wanted a single name! no not one...I just wanted you to answer yes or no to a simple question:

Did you you personally talk to the pastor or did you get it from another source...just a simple "Yes I talked to him" or "No I did not".

Why you would get all upset over this simple request only shows that you are not very used to someone asking for clarification about the authoritative voice you use...

I do not want you to lie...matter of fact my whole participation on this thread has been to try to get people to stop lying...especially on me.

It is this simple...I just wanted for you and SF to clarify that the actual event was given on a first hand basis and not from a string of rumors...simple questions:

Do you know 100% for sure that these men talked to the pastor in question personally?

Bro. you already have a leg down on this because YOU DID NOT obviously...so you do not have FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE of the events....

My point is this...the people who are saying this same thing about us are preacher...some of them are officials...and they are extremely believable...here's the problem...it did not happen and none of them have ever once talked to me about it...

If you are going to accuse someone of such stupidity...you should at least interrogate them yourself before you hang them out to dry on your ungodly, lying rumor mill...

Wow.

I guess some people are really put off by authoritative voices.

Okay, first it was my true life experience that bothered you. Now it's my authoritative 'voice'? Got to tell you, this is even more strange than your prior post. I suspect you mean my post seems authoritative. I'm not sure what would make my post any more authoritative than anyone elses.

As for being 'upset'? How could I be upset over something I had no clue was going on? I'm simply not interested in your thread. I've seen this kind of stuff in person and am pretty much as uninspired by it on a forum as I am in real life. No, I'm not remotely upset but it appears that some of you folks were... at me... for God only knows what reason except, well, I wasn't interested enough in your thread to keep coming back?

Upset...? Not a chance. Confused? Probably, because I got a PM infering that I needed to address your 'important' post and, sincerely, wasn't interested enough to read it all and figure out how I came under scrutiny. It simply didn't mean that much to me so it didn't 'upset' me.

So, I summarize, my...
* unfortunate experience bothers you
* my admitting the experience bothers you
* 'authoritative voice' bothers you
... and now you're accusing me of being upset over something that concerns me less than the fleas on my Jack Russell pup.

Why, T1... are we to perceive you don't like me?

Whatever have I done?

You did not answer a simple question that's all...you did post earlier on this thread about an occurrence where the pastor cut his wife's hair on the platform and the people rejoiced in liberty...

That same thing has been told on me as well..

I was just wondering if you actually talked to the pastor and confirmed it happened or if you just heard about it happening for someone else...

I am not upset, I would just like to know if in the instance you referred to you actually talked to the pastor...

No one who is propagating this lie on us has ever bothered to call me to confirm...and since this thread was started as a result of that rumor on ME...I was just curious if YOU ever talked to the person being ridiculed or not.

BTW Bro. Steadfast, I don't know if I like you or not...I don't know you.

Most likely, we could be friends if you could put up with my wife's cut hair.:sshhh
