Nope. But I did hear about a Pastor that brought a television in and sat it on the altar, put an antenna on it and handed a remote to someone on the front row. Told the congregation when it was time for him to preach, "Today I'm going to tell you why I don't have a television."

Told the individual to turn it on and he would tell him when to change the channel which would be done when something offensive was seen or done on that particular channel. The whole process, according to them, included every channel they could pick up (6 I think they said) and only took about 7 minutes.

The lesson was over.

Unique lesson to say the least!

We were just in a National Sales meeting and had a guest speaker who was a Doctor in Phsycology and a National Figure for the Mentally Ill and also a well known standup comedian..He's been on Dr. Phil, Oprah and other TV shows.... and I work for a Fortune 500 company and we had about 250 guys there plus our excutive staff and this man spent about 45 mins of his talk telling us about recent studies of how television is destroying the power of relationship..it is tearing at the fabric of family and friends..he is speaking for Smith Barney next week.. It was amazing some of the facts..

Adults watch on average 28 hrs of TV a week...
TV shows become Psuedo Friends instead of making real friends...

he also talk about "forums" but I will post some of that later...
and some other facts and figures he spoke about...

I wonder why he didn't demonstrate with the internet?

Well, we don't have the option to surf in the same manner we have with TV, but there are still things that are accidentally seen, like pop-ups and junk emails with suggestive terms.

And things said even in places where we'd least suspect. I was on the GNC over the weekend and a spammer posted a website along with suggestive wording describing what the site was about. OOPS!

I have cable TV. I don't surf the channels, as I have a TV guide that tells me what is on and where to watch it. My children use it as well so they don't watch programs that are not meant for them to watch. They do a great job at staying away from inappropriate shows.

I trust them more with the TV than with internet. They can only be online with direct supervision........and they are 14 and 16 yrs old.

I was sick last night and my wife prayed for me. Her hair is trimmed, she had some makeup on and wore a wedding ring and earrings. When she prayed - God touched me and I felt much better after her prayer. She is a praying woman of God and God hears and answers her prayers. My mother is the same - she has been praying for me for 51 years and God has answered her prayers!

Yea, but that works for Benny Hinn, too!

(Sorry, I could resist. In all fairness, I've never seen him with earrings before.)

Yes...but what is the difference between her saying it and Chester W from Maryland saying it? He told the Atlantic District Conference that they needed a "Holy ghost enema...a good cleaning out"....in the early ninties before the beasley's and such left over the AS...LOL.

Why not a Hinn if a Wright can say it....*
