I must say that I agree somewhat with Ultracon in the aspect that we're using lights and fog machines to replace the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Isn't the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ enough?
Who said we were using those things as a replacement of the anointing?
If preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ was enough, why didn't Jesus only preach it? Why didn't Paul?

What is wrong with the Jeremy Foster Show is this: at the current moment the UPC has a policy against TV and then they go and promote one of their own that has a TV show and use him on the platform. I know he holds no card but given the current issues in the UPC he should not have been used at a national event.
The TV/internet thing has been hashed out so many times that i'm sure no matter what I say you'll find an inconsistency in it. Since I have no credibility do yourself a favor, calm down and don't respond to my inconsitent post. Don't worry yourself to death over me. After Friday there's a good chance i'll be gone and out of the UPC.
Why wait until Friday?

Serious question, but why is it that if someone in your church wrote the above in regard to something new you decided to do, they would be considered a 'black sheep' and people told not to associate with them, but you write the above in regard to the UPC and it's ok?
This isn't a good example. The UPC is NOT a church and KH is NOT my pastor. I am in submission to a Pastor not a leader in the org.
What is your evidence that they used lights and fog to REPLACE the anointing of the Holy Ghost? When Pentecostals pig out do you say "they are using food and iced tea to replace the anointing of the Holy Ghost"?

Who listens to the McGruders? j/k I've never said anything about music. I love several types of music. I was a professional drummer for many years and i've taught music at several schools. I like all types of gospel music and think that it all has a place. I don't mind the music as long as the message is right and it creates an atmosphere of worship and not worldliness. It is the atmosphere that matters. At a lot of youth events there is more worldiness than worship.
Isn't it possible that you are seeing it that way because you are OLD????

Because there's a part of me that really loves the UPC. I want to see it change course. I want to see the RES defeated and I want to see different leadership put into place. I think this is the last great chance that the cons have to change the course of the org. If we beat the TV RES, then in 09' KH's term limits will be up and we'll have a new Leader. It is my hope and prayer that the UPC can still be turned around. If not then i'll leave.

I have been the same, I have not changed, but the UPC takes a different position and changes. They are leaving me. If that's the direction they want to go then so be it. Why does this bother you so much that I would get out? Given your post I would expect you to rejoice that us evil ultracons will be out of the org. It doesn't bother me at all. There is already a great gulf fixed between us but the passing of this Res would just make it permanent. Think of this way, with the passing of the Res and when the cons and ultracons leave you could then get anything you wanted to pass. We would stop trying to vote in a conservative leader, we wouldn't be there to oppose the removal of the articles of faith from the manual, we wouldn't oppose the removal of the ban on TV's in the minister's home statement, we wouldn't be there to oppose the stopping of signing an AS every 2 years, or anything else you wanted to get done. Plus, we wouldn't complain about Youth Congress or anything else the UPC did. From your standpoint I can only see the pros for people like me getting out. You should be thankful the UPC is leaving me.
Do you serve the UPC, or do you serve God? If the UPC changes it's stance on something that isn't even Biblical, that's so horrible that you would leave?
Did you know the UPC used to preach against radio, high heels, wearing red, and such other nonsense? Don't you think the men who left over those changes were rather silly for doing so?
