I still think everybody talking about and harping and griping and rebuking over TV, on the Internet, is a hilarious phenomenon.

But young people need other young people - it can strengthen and encourage them to see other young people living like them. But to each our own I guess. I am thankful for the church I grew up in.

I think that unless you physically were at Youth Congress then you should NOT voice your opinion regarding what went on. And if you were there and have complaints then so be it - you are entitled to your opinion. I just hope the GYD thinks long and hard before making any changes. I am looking forward to next YC if it is anything like this years it's gonna be awesome!!

Heritage is a youth event. There is one in the summer in Colorado Springs and one in the winter in Fort Worth. We attend both. Plus we have Youth service the last friday of every month. We bring several churches together for these services. They are not district sponsered but other conservative churces let their young people come and participate.

UC,
I appreciate your stand for your beliefs even though I disagree with some of them. I hope you don't pull out of the UPC over the issue of TV advertising. Let the others do as they feel they are led and continue with your convictions without causing a schism in the body.
How is taking college classes online any different from watching educational television? or watching youtube or a church webcast?
