I realize that I have never posted here, and this is a terribly awkward time to jump in, this is just the first time that I felt like saying something without being completely hostile! What I mean to say is, in defense of "Pigpen", completely disregarding the fact that the topic began over Kirk Franklin, (gasp, shock, who really cares, or is suprised) without pointing fingers or naming names, it is really difficult to stand by and watch some of the topics that are bandied about, without anyone involved in discussing them having a real clue as to the truth of the situation. And sorry to say, much of it is gossip.

Now, go ahead with the "why are you on here reading it then", the reason that I first checked this forum out, was by a complete accident, I was googling someones name and this site popped up so I checked it out. What I found was appalling, the situation that was being discussed was something that no one discussing it had any accurate info on. Believe me when I say, I did. I kept my mouth shut, because in the long run, it didn't really matter. But I have checked in periodically to see what was being said, just to make sure that the lies that were being told were not too harmful. As to why someone would consistently patrol here and post if they are against it, I can't answer that, but for some of us it is a matter of self defense. (Or the defense of someone we love) I'll leave it at that.

Bowing out now.

First and foremost, welcome!

As for the self defense comment, It would be crazy for someone to not get defensive, we are humans after all.

Some of us are mearly(sp) on here for entertainment purposes. Some are on here with an agenda, and some are on here to gleen from the knowledge and experiences of others. Others are on here for the fellowship.

Just like in everyday life, in every circle of life there are the same things happening. Every church that I have been in have the same things going.

Choose how you want to participate and join in. We would love to have you.

Thanks for the kind responses, it really was difficult for me to post (don't ask, years of heavily imposed restraint and decorum training!) I appreciate the fellowship aspect of the boards, and have no issue with it at all. I just think sometimes people forget that these are real people, with real lives who are being discussed. Trust me when I say, I am no saint, and one of my favorite sayings is "if you don't have anything good to say, come and sit down by me" (TERRIBLY Christian, I know) but it can be harmful in such a public setting. So now I am talking out of both sides of my mouth! :sshhh
